Guest Post by Reyne Rice, Global Toy Trend Expert, Trend Hunter, Toy Tech Analyst In...

Guest Post by Reyne Rice, Global Toy Trend Expert, Trend Hunter, Toy Tech Analyst

In order to explore the brave new world of kids and digital, Kidz Global Research are proud to present a major new research project, Kids & Digital! This research reveals and examines the behaviors and attitudes of children, tweens and teens and their usage of digital technologies, online services and online content.

Come discover insights and action-based conclusions as Kidz Global Research reveals the results of this major new research project, Kids & Digital, at the Digital Kids Conference on February 16th, 2015 at 10:30-11:15AM. (Hall 1E, Rooms 1E15-16)

Review a visual cavalcade of products that are part of the digital toybox of today’s generation of kids, presented by Reyne Rice, global Toy Tech Trend Expert and Kidz Global development partner. See examples of products for kids’ connected drones and robots, augmented reality racing, wearable technology, creative expression products, STEM + digital offerings for educational, new hybrid video gaming alliances, and more.

“The speed with which kids access online or any new digital technologies is simply unprecedented. In a recent survey conducted by Kidz Global, we found 49% of kid’s free time is dedicated to digital activities, while only 14% of this time was directed to playing indoors – including playing with Video-Games –“ states Philippe Guinaudeau.
Discover how kids are accessing and mastering these new digital and connected play products, in a first-time ever reveal of the results of this inaugural Kids & Digital survey, presented by Philippe Guinaudeau, CEO of Kidz Global. What you will learn:

• Who are these digital kids, and what access do they have to digital devices.
• Which devices do they own, and which are shared across family members.
• What, where and why do they use digital tools and what skills have they mastered.
• What are their favorite devices, sites and content, and how often do they access them.
• When they multi-task, what are their primary and secondary activities, and why.
• How do kids interact with digital ads, and how do they influence the family dynamic

New technologies offer many opportunities to increase children’s acquisition of knowledge, to extend play patterns to existing offerings as well as to migrate socialization from face-to-face to expanded online and mobile communications and connections. From virtual worlds to social networking, children and young people will express themselves with these new features and discover other fields of social expression. Will you be on their radar?

Come discoverkids’ usage and purchase intent for their digital tools and preferences. AND how to tap into the pockets and backpacks of kids across the world. Take a peek inside this new digital toybox, with Kidz Global!

Sugerman is one of 50 expert speakers addressing how connect with kids on digital devices. Using the powerful combination of connected mobile devices (tablets, smartphones and more) and new and innovative physical toys, digital kids today have new possibilities in reading, play and learning. Disney approaches the children’s digital space in a uniquely Disney way to bring fresh, entertaining experiences that feature characters families know and love.

As the world’s largest publisher of children’s books and apps, the company creates engaging digital experiences through the development of personalized and expansive storytelling, as well as increased shared experiences. The company is also now trailblazing early digital learning to meet the interest of today’s children – a generation of technology-savvy, mobile-first consumers. Disney Imagicademy, the company’s new learning initiative, combines research-driven curriculum developed in conjunction with top academic and education experts with the Disney characters and stories families love. By combining these elements, Imagicademy aims to deliver a best-in-class integrated program that inspires a lifelong love of learning and makes learning a family experience.

Is this a taste of what’s to come for toys, learning and entertainment? Sugerman takes the stage to talk about this new category of learning and where he sees children’s digital experiences going.
