Dan White is delivering the keynote address at Toys, Learning and Play Summit on February 15 at 1:05 pm
Dan White is a founding partner and Chief Product Officer at Filament Games, where he directs both business and development operations. White earned an MS in Educational Communications and Technology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a BS in Communication Technologies from Cornell University. During his tenure at UW, White worked with leading games and education researchers, Dr. Kurt Squire and Dr. James Gee. He also worked as a Producer on the Cornell Theory Center’s NSF-funded SciCentr Project, a series of innovative online virtual worlds for informal science and technology outreach. White serves on the advisory board for Games for Change and is a founding member of the GLS (Games Learning Society) organization at UW-Madison. He has presented on the business and design of learning games at numerous conferences, including Games for Change, SXSWedu, Games Learning Society, EdNet, the Serious Games Summit, the European Conference on Games Based Learning and the SIIA Ed Tech Industry Summit.
