Naz was most recently head of global consumer products licensing for Rovio Entertainment. She joined Rovio Entertainment in 2012 to head up consumer products in North America, reporting to the EVP Strategic Partnerships. In this position, Cuevas spearheaded the growth of the Angry Birds franchise by developing a new licensing strategy and partner base, including companies like Hasbro, Mattel, Commonwealth, H&M, Zara/Inditex, C&A, Toys “R” Us, Walmart, and Lego.

Naz served a pivotal role at Rovio as she was responsible for managing the entertainment partnerships with Lucas/Disney for Angry Birds Star Wars, 20th Century Fox Entertainment for Angry Birds Rio, and Hasbro Entertainment for Angry Birds Transformers.  These partnerships bridged Rovio from a mobile games company into a full fledged Entertainment powerhouse.

Naz is credited with spearheading linking the digital and physical world of gaming and consumer products, starting with Telepods (a physical/digital collectible figurine which, with the help with Hasbro, translated to 1 million pieces in the hands of consumers within 4 weeks of its release in the U.S.), and creating the first brand strategy outside of games with the introduction of a new franchise, Angry Birds Stella.

She also spent time at Warner Bros. Consumer Products focusing on brands like Looney Tunes, Power Puff Girls, DC Comics, Harry Potter and ScoobyDoo. Naz is credited with various innovative projects within the video game accessories community, including the first physical experience of the Dance Pad, as well as securing licenses with Marvel and Microsoft during her tenure at Naki world. Regardless of her titles, Naz Cuevas has always been a prolific executive able to cross-promote and cross-connect within divisions and industries.

Naz holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and Mass Media with a minor in International Business Law from California State University, Northridge; as well, she graduated from Harvard Business School’s General Management Program.

Naz is currently living in Helsinki, Finland, she is a Lecturer and Advisor at various Business & Economics universities including AALTO EE and Haaga-Hellia Business University; she is also a Coach and Mentor for various start-ups such as Start-Up Sauna and Slush in Finland; in addition, she has set up a consultancy boutique team and is working on various projects with entertainment and/or mobile game companies in Northern Europe, focusing on Strategy, Innovation, Leadership and Culture while ensuring proper Operational processes are put into place to measure the above.
