Don’s first memory of consumer electronics was at age 3. His dad was showing off his new stereo system when the police came by for a noise violation. A few years later, he was introduced to a home computer – with a color screen! He quickly learned the art of loading DOS on 5 ¼” floppies and conquering Space Quest.
From desktops to laptops, video cameras to gaming consoles, Don’s fascination with electronics grew. This passion for emerging technologies eventually led to positions at Apple, Inc., Klipsch Audio Technologies, and the House of Marley where he worked on projects such as Klipsch’s PC speaker line, ProMedia, and its S4i Headphones which garnered many awards. As a Merchant at Apple, he participated in the refinement of many products, including Beats by Dre, V-Moda, and JBL.
With over 24 years of experience in roles ranging from Sr. Merchant, Director of Product Development, WW Sales Manager and General Manager, Don is a well-rounded evangelist. In 2014, he and his business partner, Matt MacBeth, founded pi lab and its flagship product, Edwin the Duck. Since its inception, pi lab has become a collective intelligence of inventors that is forming an environment conducive to creativity.
