Anne McConnell joined the Toy Industry Association (TIA) in February of 2013 as Director of Market Research and Data Strategy. In this role, she oversees TIA’s market research studies, working closely with member companies to identify information needs and fostering relationships with domestic and international research consultancies to share vital business intelligence with toy industry stakeholders.
Ms. McConnell has more than 20 years of experience in market research and data analysis. Prior to joining TIA, she enjoyed a 12-year tenure at Pearson, where she rose through the ranks to serve as Director of Market Research for Pearson Education’s PreK-12 Curriculum Group. In that capacity she led a team tasked with conducting a robust program of research in support of strategic planning, product development and marketing across all academic disciplines.
Previously, Ms. McConnell spent 10 years as Director of Market Research at The Direct Marketing Association, where she developed and shepherded research supporting member companies from varying industries that employed direct marketing methods, as well as Association initiatives and internal needs.
A proud member of the American Society of Association Executives, Ms. McConnell holds a B.A degree in History from St. Joseph’s College and a M.B.A in Management from St. John’s University.
