StacyLeistnerIn his role as Vice President, Strategic Communications, Stacy Leistner serves as the Toy Industry Association’s spokesperson on a broad range of Association and industry issues. He interacts on a daily basis with TIA members, media, government and other stakeholders on topics ranging from products and toy trends to the value of play; consumer product safety; legislative and regulatory issues such as marketing to children and online data privacy; and additional topics related to the toy industry and the youth-entertainment marketplace. Stacy has represented the toy industry during media interviews with The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The Chicago Tribune, Reuters and Fox television, among others. He also oversees the annual Toy of the Year (TOTY) awards and the Toy Industry Hall of Fame.

Stacy has an extensive background in strategic and crisis communications, media relations and association management. Since joining TIA in 2009, Stacy has launched and oversees an array of new communication vehicles including TIA’s weekly e-newsletter and websites, including the consumer-focused ToyInfo.org; and the Association’s “Knowledge Network” education program.

Before joining TIA, Stacy spent 19 years with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), where he worked on a broad range of national and global issues for consumers, leaders of industry and government audiences.

Stacy is a graduate of the University of Evansville in Indiana and Parson’s School of Design in New York City.
